Powers: Her battlesuit is capable of a variety of sonic attacks and is equipped with a sonic forcefield. There is no strength enhancement.
Character: Robyn is a strong and confident woman with a love of science. She is in many ways the Protectors most psychologically balanced member.
Notes: A senior employee at SavCo Industries, Robyn was approached by Wayne Savage, AKA The Huntsman, to use the battlesuit she had helped develop after the military balked at the price of the armour they had commissioned.

Powers: Quasar is a living source of photokinetic power. He can fly, emit light in a variety of forms and become insubstantial.
Character: An escaped slave, Quasar is very protective towards his adopted culture.
Notes: A favourite thrall of the Alien gladiator Firewing, Dayn defected when exposed to human culture on Earth.

Powers: Helios can control heat and flame for offensive and defensive uses.
Character: Demetrios was a romantic, but the resultant fused personality is often brash and hot-headed and prone to extreme violence in combat.

Powers: Psionic in nature. Brainstorm is a telepath, capable of reading thoughts and mounting a mind assault. He is also a telkinetic with the skill to erect a personal telekinetic shield. Perhaps fortunately, he is not capable of mind control.
Character: Due to his many years in captivity, Brainstorm has few social skills. At times Kent can be embarrassing. He may try to seduce a villainess rather than engage her in combat or send crude telepathic remarks or suggestions.
Notes: Kidnapped at a very young age by PSI, Kent eventually escaped their clutches to become the maladjusted hero Brainstorm

Powers: Maelstrom can control atmospheric conditions in the local area. He can raise winds to fly, defend himself or attack and can hurl lightning bolts.
Character: Maelstrom takes being a Hero very seriously. He is often seen at charitable functions and is regarded as the spokesman for the team.
Notes: One of the founders of the Protectors, James' abilities did not manifest until well after his 40th birthday. Despite being 55, most people guess his age at about 40.
